Dawa Gelzen Sherpa

Dawa Gelzen was born and raised in Lukla, the gateway to the spectacular Khumbu Valley and the world's highest peaks. An eight-time Mt. Everest summiteer, he began his mountaineering career in 2010 and has since built extensive experience guiding throughout the Nepal and Pakistan Himalayas. Over the years, he has successfully led numerous expeditions to Nepal's popular trekking peaks and high-altitude objectives.

Committed to continual professional development, Dawa has completed both basic and advanced mountaineering training, along with specialized ice climbing courses in Nepal. In addition to Everest, he has reached the summits of many peaks above 6,000 metres, earning a reputation as a skilled, dependable, and safety-focused guide.

He lives in Lukla, Nepal, where he continues to share his passion for the Himalayas by guiding climbers and trekkers from around the world.
