GENERAL

  • We offer professionally guided mountaineering expeditions, polar skiing expeditions and trekking adventures across the globe — including high-altitude climbs like Everest, Aconcagua, Denali, and Kilimanjaro, as well as remote trekking routes in Nepal, Andes, and beyond.

  • Trip costs typically include all in-country transportation, permits, group equipment, guides, accommodation, and most meals. International flights, travel insurance, tips, and personal gear are generally not included.

  • Each trip has a detailed gear list. You’ll need technical gear like boots, crampons, and an ice axe for mountaineering trips, and high-quality clothing and sleeping systems for all high-altitude treks. Rental options are available for some items.

  • An expedition typically involves climbing a mountain, often requiring technical skills and gear. A trek is a long-distance hike, often at altitude, but usually on established trails without the need for climbing equipment.

  • It depends on the destination. Everest and Himalayan treks are best in the Spring and Autumn in the northern hemisphere, Aconcagua is ideal in the Southern Hemisphere summer (Dec–Feb), and Kilimanjaro is good year-round, with drier seasons preferred. Check each trip page for optimal dates.

  • Consider your fitness level, previous trekking or climbing experience, altitude tolerance, and time commitment. Our team is happy to consult with you personally to find the best fit based on your goals and ability.

  • We keep our groups small for safety, environmental impact, and a more boutique experience — typically between 4 and 10 participants, depending on the trip.

  • Yes! We offer private expeditions and custom treks for individuals, families, or corporate groups. Let us know what you're looking for and we’ll create a tailored itinerary.

  • We recommend booking 4–6 months in advance, especially for international expeditions that require permits or training. Some high-demand climbs like Everest or Vinson fill up even earlier.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Not always. Some expeditions require prior high-altitude and technical climbing experience, while many of our treks are beginner-friendly. Each trip has detailed requirements, and we’re happy to help you choose a trip that matches your ability and goals.

  • Physical conditioning is crucial. We recommend a consistent program focusing on cardiovascular endurance, strength training (especially legs and core), and hiking with a weighted pack. We offer personalized training advice based on your selected expedition.

  • We monitor all clients closely for signs of AMS (acute mountain sickness) and follow a slow, safe acclimatization schedule. Our guides are trained in high-altitude medicine and carry oxygen and satellite communication devices on all high-altitude expeditions.

  • We recommend visiting a travel clinic to get country-specific advice. Common vaccinations include Hepatitis A/B, Typhoid, and Tetanus. For treks in malaria zones, prophylactic medication may be advised.

LOGISTICS

  • Safety is our top priority. Our guides are certified professionals with extensive experience. We use high-quality gear, plan emergency contingencies, and maintain a high guide-to-client ratio for personal attention and risk management.

  • Yes, on most treks, your main luggage is carried by porters, yaks, or mules, so you only need to carry a daypack with essentials. Expeditions usually involve carrying more personal gear, depending on the mountain and route.

  • Mountain weather is unpredictable. We build buffer days into our itineraries when possible. Safety always comes first, and while summits can’t be guaranteed, we aim to give every climber the best opportunity within safe conditions.

  • We offer nutritious, high-energy meals suitable for high-altitude conditions. Our menus include a mix of local and Western dishes. We accommodate dietary restrictions when notified in advance.

DOCUMENTATION

  • Yes. We require all participants to have travel insurance that includes high-altitude trekking and/or climbing coverage, as well as emergency evacuation and trip cancellation protection. Suggested options for this kind of insurance will be available during sign up.

  • Most countries require a tourist visa. We provide information for each destination, and in some cases, our local team assists with visa processing or on-arrival procedures.

  • You can sign up directly through our website or contact us for assistance. A deposit is required to secure your spot, with the balance typically due 60–90 days before departure. We accept major credit cards, Wise, Venmo, and wire transfers.
