ITINERARY

Day 01

Arrival in Moshi, Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where our team will greet you for the transfer to our comfortable lodge in Moshi — about one hour from the park entrance. All services are arranged, including airport pickup, dinner, and lodging.

Day 02

Gear Check & Expedition Briefing

Take the day to recover from international travel and settle in. We’ll conduct a detailed gear check, discuss the climb ahead, and hold a full team orientation. This is a key part of our thoughtful acclimatization plan.

Day 03

Begin Trek – Machame Gate to Forest Camp (3,000m)

After breakfast, we drive to the Machame Gate on Kilimanjaro’s southwest side. Our trek begins through rich rainforest terrain before arriving at our first camp nestled among moss-draped trees. (5–6 hours trekking).

Day 04

Forest Camp to Shira Plateau (3,840m)

Leaving the forest behind, we ascend into moorland and volcanic ridges with sweeping views of the Shira Plateau. Camp is near Shira Cave, a dramatic and open landscape. (4–5 hours trekking).

Day 05

Shira Plateau to Barranco Camp (3,950m)

We continue upward toward the Lava Tower before descending into the stunning Barranco Valley. This is a key acclimatization day, with optional hikes above camp to aid in adjustment. (5–6 hours trekking).

Day 06

Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley

We ascend the Great Barranco Wall and trek beneath Kilimanjaro’s icy southern glaciers. Views of the peak sharpen as we approach Karanga Valley — one of the most scenic sections of the route. (4–5 hours trekking).

Day 07

Karanga to High Camp (4,750m)

A shorter day brings us to our high camp at Barafu. We arrive early to rest, hydrate, and prepare for our summit push. The atmosphere builds as we review the final stage of the climb. (3 hours trekking).

Day 08

Summit Day – Uhuru Peak (5,895m)

We begin our ascent in the early hours, reaching Stella Point by sunrise and continuing to Uhuru Peak — the highest point in Africa. After summit photos and celebration, we descend to camp at approximately 3,400m. A big day. (10–14 hours total).

Day 09

Descend to Gate and Transfer to Arusha

A relaxed final hike through lower forests brings us to the park gate. From here, we transfer to Arusha for a well-earned celebration dinner with the team. (5 hours trekking).

Day 10

Safari – Tarangire National Park

Begin your Tanzanian safari with a full-day game drive in Tarangire, home to vast elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Overnight at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.

Day 11

Safari – Ngorongoro Crater and Return

Descend into the UNESCO-listed Ngorongoro Crater, where lions, rhinos, and wildebeest roam the caldera floor. In the afternoon, we return to Arusha for a final evening at the Kibo Hotel.

Day 12

Departure

Group expedition officially concludes. Transfers are provided to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departing flights or onward travel.

DESTINATION

Tanzania, Kilimanjaro

Rising solitary above the plains of East Africa, Kilimanjaro is a mountain of striking contrasts. Its lower slopes are alive with forest and wildlife, its upper reaches barren and glaciated, crowned by the snows that inspired legends. Standing here, you feel the vastness of the African landscape stretch in every direction—an island of stone and ice above the savanna.

For trekkers, Kilimanjaro is both an ascent and a passage. The climb leads through shifting climates and ecosystems, from jungle to alpine desert to summit glacier. Each step higher brings a new perspective—on the land, on endurance, and on the quiet satisfaction of reaching Africa’s highest point.
