ITINERARY

  • Final Prep & Relaxation Day

    A free day for last-minute preparations, gear adjustments, or simply resting before heading to the ice.

  • Fly to Union Glacier, Antarctica

    Weather permitting, we fly 4 hours south to Union Glacier, landing on a stunning blue-ice runway. After setting up camp, we settle into our first night on the continent.

  • Acclimatization & Ski Prep

    A full day on the ice to test our systems, ski around camp, and adapt to the Antarctic environment before the expedition begins in earnest.

  • Flight into 89° South & Begin Skiing 

    We fly by Twin Otter aircraft to 89°S, 60 nautical miles from the South Pole. After landing, we begin our journey with a short ski to establish camp.

  • Ski to the South Pole

    Over the course of roughly 6 - 7 days, we ski across the polar plateau toward the geographic South Pole. Expect stunning silence, vast horizons, and a deep sense of accomplishment as we near our goal.

  • Return to Union Glacier

    We board our aircraft and fly back to Union Glacier Camp to celebrate our achievement with a hot meal and well-earned rest and showers.

  • Return to Puntas Arenas

    Once the weather window opens, we fly back to Punta Arenas. After a hot shower, we gather for a celebratory dinner to toast the journey.

  • End of Expedition - Depart for Home

    With unforgettable memories in tow, guests depart for home or onward travel.

ITINERARY

Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal


Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to our comfortable luxury hotel in Thamel, the Aloft Hotel by Marriott, where the adventure begins.

Day 02

Explore Kathmandu


Enjoy a day in Nepal’s vibrant capital, organize personal gear, and join the team for a welcome dinner and expedition briefing.

Day 03

Helicopter to Lukla – Trek to Phakding (8,700′)


Take a helicopter flight to Lukla, then trek along the Dudh Kosi River to the village of Phakding.

Day 04

Trek to Namche Bazaar (11,300′)


Climb steadily into the heart of the Khumbu and arrive at Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa capital.

Day 05

Acclimatization in Namche


Spend the day acclimatizing with short hikes and visits to local sites, soaking in views of Everest and surrounding peaks.

Day 06

Trek to Deboche via Tengboche Monastery


Follow forested trails and visit the renowned Tengboche Monastery before continuing to the peaceful village of Deboche.

Day 07

Trek to Dingboche (14,000′)


Ascend through open valleys with breathtaking views of Ama Dablam before reaching the high-altitude village of Dingboche.

Day 08

Acclimatization in Dingboche


Take another acclimatization day, with a hike to surrounding ridges offering striking Himalayan panoramas.

Day 09

Trek to Lobuche (16,000′)


Pass memorials honoring climbers and follow the trail higher into the Khumbu to reach Lobuche.

Day 10

Hike to Kala Pattar – Overnight in Gorak Shep (17,000′)


Climb Kala Pattar for one of the best vantage points of Everest, then continue to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 11

Trek to Everest Base Camp (17,500′)


Arrive at the legendary Everest Base Camp, your home for the   expedition and launch point for the climb ahead.

Day 12

Rest and Prepare


Organize equipment, review climbing strategies, and rest at Base Camp before the first rotation.

Days 13 - 15

Climb Lobuche for First Rotation


Descend to Lobuche for further acclimatization and lodge accommodations. The next morning trek to Lobuche High Camp.


Dinner and early to sleep for an alpine start. Make the ascent to high camp, preparing for the climb of Lobuche Peak.


Climb Lobuche Peak as a key acclimatization climb, gaining invaluable high-altitude experience before Everest. Return to the village of Lobuche for overnight in the lodge.

Day 16

Return to Everest Base Camp


Trek back to Base Camp for rest and preparation for the main climb.

Day 17 - 18

Rest at Base Camp


Recover, train, and prepare mentally and physically for the higher camps. Our team has the Puja Ceremony.

Day 19

Climb to Camp One


Ascend through the Khumbu Icefall and establish your first high camp on Everest.

Day 20

Climb to Camp Two


Continue climbing into the Western Cwm and settle into Camp Two.

Day 21 - 22

Rest at Camp Two


Spend two days acclimatizing and regaining strength before moving higher.

Day 23

Climb to Camp Three – Return to Camp Two


Reach Camp Three on the Lhotse Face, then descend back to Camp Two for recovery.

Day 24

Return to Base Camp


Descend to Base Camp for extended rest and final preparations for the summit push.

Day 25 - 37

Summit Window


Await the best weather conditions for a summit bid, typically mid to late May, moving through the high camps toward the top of the world.

Day 38 - 44

Contingency Days


Extra time is reserved for weather delays, route conditions, or extended summit attempts, with flexibility for return travel.

Day 45

Depart for Home


Conclude the expedition and depart Kathmandu with memories of a lifetime.

Team members are responsible for arriving with the required personal clothing and equipment for the expedition. Upon signing up, we provide a detailed gear list and are always available to offer advice or answer any questions about what to bring, ensuring you're fully prepared for the journey.

Personal travel insurance

Team members on the Everest expedition are required to have rescue/evacuation insurance. Upon signing up, we provide a list of recommended insurance providers that specialize in covering climbing trips, ensuring you're fully protected for the journey.

Cost of Tourist Visa upon arrival to Nepal.

Alcoholic drinks and personal snacks on Trek

You are responsible for drinks or any personal snacks for the trek into base camp, we provide all main meals with hot drinks.

International flights to/from Kathmandu

The cost of your international flights to and from (KTM) Airport, is not included in the expedition price. This means you are responsible for researching, booking, and covering the expenses of your flights from your home country (or starting location) to Nepal and your return journey after the expedition concludes.
