ITINERARY

Day 01

Arrival in Mendoza, Argentina

Welcome to Mendoza — the heart of Argentina’s wine country and the gateway to Aconcagua. You'll be met at the airport by our team and transferred to the Diplomatic Hotel. In the evening, we’ll hold a group meeting and welcome dinner. Your guides will handle climbing permits directly at the Permit Office.

Day 02

Transfer to Aconcagua Provincial Park & Trek to Confluencia Camp (3,390m)

An early private transfer takes us to the trailhead at Horcones Valley. After registering at the park entrance, we begin our approach with a 4-hour hike to Confluencia Camp, our first night on the mountain.

Day 03

Acclimatization Hike from Confluencia

We spend the day acclimatizing with a scenic hike near Confluencia. This crucial step helps prepare our bodies for the altitude ahead. Return to camp and sleep a second night here.

Day 04

Trek to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp (4,370m)

A full trekking day — approximately 7 hours — brings us to Plaza de Mulas, our base camp for the expedition. After settling in and setting up camp, the afternoon is free to rest and prepare for the climb ahead.

Day 05

Rest Day at Base Camp

Today we rest and complete the mandatory health check with the park’s medical staff. Showers are available at base camp.

Day 06

Acclimatization Rotation to Camp 1

We climb to Camp 1 (Camp Canada) with a light load to begin our acclimatization rotations, then return to base camp for the night.

Day 07

Rest Day at Base Camp

Another well-earned rest day, allowing our bodies to recover and adjust.

Day 08

Move to Camp 1 – Camp Canada (5,050m)

We ascend to Camp 1 with full personal gear, settling in for our first night above base camp. The hike takes around 3–4 hours.

Day 09

Climb to Camp 2 – Nido de Cóndores (5,570m)

Today’s hike involves moving over scree and potential snow as we climb to Camp 2. Expect around 4 hours of steady ascent.

Day 10

Rest Day at Camp 2

A key day for recovery and acclimatization at Nido de Cóndores, with incredible views over the Andes.

Day 11

Move to High Camp – Colera (5,943m)

We push higher to our final camp before summit day. Camp Colera offers striking panoramas and a sense of quiet anticipation before our summit push.

Day 12

Summit Day – Aconcagua (6,962m)

An alpine start launches us toward the summit via the Normal Route. We'll pass the iconic Independencia Hut and ascend the Canaleta before reaching the highest point in the Southern Hemisphere. After summiting, we return to High Camp for a well-earned rest.

Days 13 & 14

Weather Buffer / Contingency Days

Built-in flexibility to allow for weather delays, additional acclimatization, or adjustments by your guide team.

Day 15

Descend to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp

We make a full descent back to base camp, retracing our steps and enjoying the changing perspective of the mountain.

Day 16

Hike Out & Return to Mendoza

A long but rewarding trek down the Horcones Valley takes us to the park gate at Punta de Vacas. Private transport returns us to Mendoza for a celebratory dinner and final hotel night.

Day 17

Departure Day

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flights home.

DESTINATION

Argentina, Andes

Stretching the length of South America, the Andes define a continent of peaks, plateaus, and vast open skies. In western Argentina, these mountains rise to their greatest height at Aconcagua—an immense sentinel of rock and ice overlooking the desert plains of Mendoza. The landscape here is bold and elemental, shaped by wind, altitude, and silence.

For climbers, the Andes offer a pure expression of high-mountain adventure. Days unfold under an endless horizon, where thin air and shifting light test strength and resolve. To stand on Aconcagua’s summit is to feel the breadth of the range itself—ancient, austere, and deeply humbling.
