Day 03
Acclimatization Hike from Confluencia
We spend the day acclimatizing with a scenic hike near Confluencia. This crucial step helps prepare our bodies for the altitude ahead. Return to camp and sleep a second night here.
Day 04
Trek to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp (4,370m)
A full trekking day — approximately 7 hours — brings us to Plaza de Mulas, our base camp for the expedition. After settling in and setting up camp, the afternoon is free to rest and prepare for the climb ahead.
Day 05
Rest Day at Base Camp
Today we rest and complete the mandatory health check with the park’s medical staff. Showers are available at base camp.
Day 06
Acclimatization Rotation to Camp 1
We climb to Camp 1 (Camp Canada) with a light load to begin our acclimatization rotations, then return to base camp for the night.

Another well-earned rest day, allowing our bodies to recover and adjust.
Day 08
Move to Camp 1 – Camp Canada (5,050m)
We ascend to Camp 1 with full personal gear, settling in for our first night above base camp. The hike takes around 3–4 hours.
Day 09
Climb to Camp 2 – Nido de Cóndores (5,570m)
Today’s hike involves moving over scree and potential snow as we climb to Camp 2. Expect around 4 hours of steady ascent.
Day 10

A key day for recovery and acclimatization at Nido de Cóndores, with incredible views over the Andes.

An alpine start launches us toward the summit via the Normal Route. We'll pass the iconic Independencia Hut and ascend the Canaleta before reaching the highest point in the Southern Hemisphere. After summiting, we return to High Camp for a well-earned rest.

Weather Buffer / Contingency Days
Built-in flexibility to allow for weather delays, additional acclimatization, or adjustments by your guide team.
