Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to our comfortable luxury hotel in Thamel, the Aloft Hotel by Marriott, where the adventure begins.
Day 02 - Explore Kathmandu: Enjoy a day in Nepal’s vibrant capital, organize personal gear, and join the team for a welcome dinner and expedition briefing.
Day 03 - Drive to Besisahar & Dharapani: Leave Kathmandu for a scenic private drive following the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers, arriving at the gateway of the Annapurna region.
Day 04 - Drive to Koto – Trek to Meta: A short morning drive brings us to Koto, where we leave the main trail to enter the rugged, restricted Nar-Phu Valley, trekking to the settlement of Meta.
Day 05 - Trek to Phu Gaon: Follow the dramatic river canyon and remote desert landscapes higher into the valley, arriving at the ancient, culturally rich village of Phu Gaon.
Day 06 - Acclimatization in Phu Gaon: Spend the day acclimatizing with short hikes around this historic Tibetan-style village, absorbing views of the surrounding wilderness.
Day 07 - Base Camp Setup & Rest: Take a full rest day at Base Camp to allow our bodies to adjust to 16,000 feet, organize high-altitude gear, and organize our mountain home.
Day 08 - Puja Ceremony & Technical Review: Participate in a traditional Buddhist Puja ceremony with our Sherpa team to bless our expedition, followed by a gear and rigging review with your Western Guide.
Day 9-22 - The Climbing and Rotation Window: Over thirteen days, climbers execute a managed acclimatization schedule, establishing and stocking camps along the Northeast Ridge while building high-altitude experience. Following acclimatization, the team moves through the high camp network to ascend the 7,126-meter Himlung Himal, securing a vital qualification for future Everest goals.
Day 23 - Base Camp Clean-Up & Trek to Meta: We pack up our mountain home, ensuring we leave no trace behind, and begin our descent back through the remote landscapes of the valley to the village of Meta.
Day 24 - Trek to Koto & Private Drive to Besisahar: Trek out of the restricted valley to Koto, where our private vehicles await to drive us back down the Marsyangdi River valley to Besisahar.
Day 25 - Private Drive to Kathmandu: Enjoy a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, checking back into the luxury comfort of the Aloft Kathmandu Thamel for hot showers, a celebratory final team dinner, and a toast to a successful expedition.
Day 26 - Departure from Kathmandu: Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your international flights home, or continue on your next Himalayan adventure.

ride as you begin and complete the mountain portion of

All meals and Dining on the Mountain

Nutritious, well-prepared meals are served throughout the
climb, with attention to dietary needs and energy
requirements. All cooking equipment and eating utensils
are included at base camp for a clean and efficient camp
experience. On mountain meals require your own personal
cup, bowl, spoon setup as on other high altitude climbs.

Group & Camping equipment

on the ascent.

Safety and First Aid

Our guides carry VHF radios, a satellite phone, and a
comprehensive first aid kit equipped with high-altitude
medications and emergency oxygen. Every expedition is
led by a certified Wilderness First Responder (or higher),
ensuring expert-level care and preparedness in any
situation on the mountain.

Communications

Stay connected with solar panel access and satellite phone
availability for emergencies. Enjoy free Wi-Fi at basecamp.

Helicopter Option for shorter itinerary

For ultimate convenience, opt for a helicopter departure
from Base Camp (available for an additional fee), ensuring
a streamlined total itinerary.

What's Not Included

International flights to/from Kathmandu International Airport

The cost of your international flights to and from (KTM)
Airport, is not included in the expedition price. This means
you are responsible for researching, booking, and covering
the expenses of your flights from your home country (or
starting location) to Nepal and your return journey after the
expedition concludes.

Alcoholic drinks and personal snacks on Trek

You are responsible for drinks or any personal snacks for
the trek into base camp, we provide all main meals with hot
drinks.

Personal Nepal Entry Visa

Cost of Tourist Visa upon arrival to Nepal.

Optional Helicopter - Fast Itinerary Trip

You also have the option pre-acclimate before the
expedition and join our Fast Helicopter supported trip.

Personal travel insurance

Team members on the Himlung Himal expedition are
required to have rescue/evacuation insurance. Upon
signing up, we provide a list of recommended insurance
providers that specialize in covering climbing trips,
ensuring you're fully protected for the journey.

Personal clothing & gear

Team members are responsible for arriving with the
required personal clothing and equipment for the
expedition. Upon signing up, we provide a detailed gear list
and are always available to offer advice or answer any
questions about what to bring, ensuring you're fully
prepared for the journey.

Personal expenses

Personal expenses include any small purchases in
Kathmandu or on the trek, such as extra snacks, supplies,
or taxis.

Staff Gratuities

In your information PDF we will give recommendations for
bringing money for tipping the trip staff, for a worry free
planning.
